There are two new faces at the Upper Perkiomen High School. A new school counseling department administrative assistant, Mrs. Quinn, and a new secretary in the office, Ms. Miles. Their roles here are important for an effective school, making sure the school has the resources it needs.
Ms. Miles

Ms. Miles is a graduate of Archbishop Ryan High School and went to college to study Commercial Music at Kutztown University. Her main job as a secretary is to help people’s day go more smoothly and support the faculty, while specifically being the assistant for the High School Principal.
Ms. Miles told the WSJ, “I teach music privately and I kinda wanted to get into schools a little bit.” She went on to explain the scope of her job here at the high school saying, “I get asked a lot of different things, I get asked about orders, if I know where certain documents are, it’s a whole bunch of things that I get asked.”
Ms. Miles chose Upper Perk because her boyfriend and his family are alumni of Upper Perk. As a result, her move to the area is influenced by these connections.
Ms. Quinn

Ms. Quinn is a graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School. She continued her education at Eastern University where she studied English Literature. Her main job as a Counseling Department Administrative Assistant is to do administrative tasks for all the counselors. Ms. Quinn went on explain. “I usually get asked if they have the correct forms, or general questions that I can help students with.”
As an alumni, Mrs. Quinn chose to work at Upper Perk mainly because she felt good to be able to give back to the school and community. Ms. Quinn told the WSJ that she “needed a change of pace, and the position came about, so I thought, ‘Why not go for it?'”
As Mrs. Quinn and Ms. Miles begin their journey at the school, Upper Perk anticipates their positive contributions to the school community, benefiting both students and staff.
